Delete a Portlet

Console users in the Administrators group or custom groups with permission to manage dashboards can delete portlets from the Edit Dashboard page (except for certain System portlets).

Caution: Use this capability with care — it permanently deletes the portlet from all dashboards for all users.

Procedure

1. From any dashboard or the Dashboards page, click the Edit Dashboard button.
2. In the list of portlets, click Delete next to the portlet to delete. A confirmation dialog box displays that includes information about how many dashboards use this portlet.
3. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.

Results

The portlet is removed from the portlet list on the Edit Dashboard page. It is removed from all dashboards that include it. If a user is viewing a dashboard containing the portlet, the portlet remains visible until the user refreshes or navigates away from the dashboard.
