You might need to modify an alert to change its threshold, the time period it covers, its subscribers, or other parameters. In addition, you might need to enable or disable the alert.

Although you can’t create new instances of built-in alerts, you can edit some of their settings. For example, you can change the number of approval requests necessary to trigger an Approval Request alert. You also can modify which actions (creation, editing, deletion) trigger an Updater Modified alert.

Procedure

  1. On the console menu, click Tools > Alerts.
  2. Click the View Details button next to the alert to modify.
  3. To enable or disable the alert, click the appropriate button in the General section of the Alert Information panel and then click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
  4. To make other changes, edit the appropriate parameters (see Alert Fields) and then click Save. The alert is updated and you return to the Alerts page.
