You can delete individual uploaded files from the server by checking the row for each file you want to delete on the Uploaded Files page and clicking Delete Uploads on the Action menu.

You also can configure the Carbon Black App Control Server to delete files uploaded to the server on a schedule. By default, uploaded files are deleted after they have been on the server for 4 weeks.

Note: Disabling automatic deletion of uploaded files is not recommended.

The following procedure shows you how to configure the server for automatic deletions.

Procedure

  1. On the console menu, click the configuration (gear) icon, click System Configuration, and then click the Advanced Options tab on the System Configuration page.
  2. Click the Edit button at the bottom of the page.
  3. Under File Uploads, make sure the Delete Uploaded Files After box is checked, and enter the number of weeks after which you want the files to be deleted.

  4. Click the Update button at the bottom of the page.
Note: The actual uploaded files are not included in Carbon Black App Control backups, although the Uploaded Files table is backed up. If you restore a Carbon Black App Control database and there were files listed in the Uploaded Files table, the table is restored but the files will not be available.
