Creating a new notifier is similar to editing an existing notifier, with the exception of the initial steps.


Make sure you are familiar with the notifier settings. For more information, see Notifier Settings for Add/Edit.


  1. On the console menu, navigate to the Rules > Notifiers page, and click Add Notifier.
    The Add Notifier page displays.
  2. If you want to start with the settings of an existing notifier, select a notifier from the Copy Settings From drop-down menu.
  3. Enter or edit settings as necessary.
  4. To preserve your changes, click Save.


The Carbon Black App Control console saves the notifier and adds it to the Notifiers list. If you navigated to the Add Notifier page from a policy, the new notifier is saved even if you did not click Save on the Edit Policy page.
