This section lists the defects fixed in Carbon Black App Control 8.7.0 Server.

EP-9054 Fixed a bug where autocomplete selections in combo-boxes were not saving the complete values.
EP-9110 Fixed an issue on the Find Files page where saved view columns did not initially display properly.
EP-9195 Fixed an issue where files that have been banned or approved based on MD5 or SHA1, and appear on the network after the rule is created, resulted in an incorrect global file state.
EP-9582 Fixed an issue where WildFire file submissions would randomly timeout.
EP-9880 Fixed an issue where the server did not retain data for unknown events and the event displayed with a blank description.
EP-10987 Fixed an issue where temp files were not consistently cleaned up after host package installation.
EP-11174 Fixed an issue where adding a “Cert” macro to a Write rule resulted in an unresponsive system.

As a result, users are now prevented from creating custom write rules based on parameters that are only available after the write is complete.
EP-11686 Fixed an issue where an inaccurate server backlog count displayed in the “Agent Backlog Statistics” report if the count was large.
EP-11736 Fixed an issue where in certain edge cases, old tracked files were not deleted.

The criteria for deleting old tracked files was expanded to reduce orphaned data.
EP-12033 Fixed the following issues to ensure that Unified file rule details on remote servers will now be viewed directly from the main server:
  • Fixed an issue where unified file rules were not being correctly set to unified.
  • Fixed an issue where sending existing by-name file rules to remote servers was sending a blank rule.
EP-12132 Fixed the description for installedProgramName in the API documentation for v1/fileInstanceGroups.
EP-12140 Fixed a typo in the "Block unapproved scripts" notifier.
EP-12271 Fixed an issue causing new baseline drift report details to be summary only.
EP-12718 Fixed an issue where saving Indicator Set Exceptions failed.

For Syslog Output, updated entries that previously read, "Carbon Black":

  • For Syslog Output:Changed the CEF devicevendor entry to "VMware Carbon Black"
  • Changed the LEEF vendor entry to "VMware Carbon Black"
EP-12766 Improved performance on some table pages.
EP-12839 Fixed the following three issues:
  • Alert names that are built in and always enabled are no longer editable.
  • In the Advanced Options of the Drift Report Details report, if a report had been saved with the "Include missing baseline files" option checked, when the report is opened, the option now remains checked.
  • For files that were discovered remotely after initialization, the label at the bottom of the page in the History section previously stated: "The file appeared on <machine> post installation". Now, the label states: "The file appeared on <machine> post installation as a remote file".
EP-13058 Fixed an issue where some SAML logins were failing.

EP-13129 Fixed minor UI fixes, such as table row coloring, for Unified Management
EP-13133 Fixed an issue with Unified Management where trying to push a file rule back to a server where it had been overridden failed.
EP-13277 Fixed an error pruning deleted hosts that could prevent the daily prune task from completing
EP-13326 The temporary password warning now disappears immediately upon changing a temporary password.
EP-13501 Fixed an issue related to registering new computers when debug logging was enabled.
EP-13681 Fixed an issue where the parity server crashed unexpectedly after restart due to the exhaustion of request buffers.
EP-13857 Improved memory handling when communicating with agents.
