The Carbon Black team is pleased to announce the general availability of App Control Server Patches 8.8.6 and 8.7.8.
The VMware Carbon Black App Control Server has been identified to contain a critical security vulnerability. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the identifier CVE-2023-20858 to this issue. We strongly recommend that you upgrade as soon as possible.

The 8.8.6 Server and the 8.7.8 Server resolve the vulnerability identified in CVE-2023-20858. We strongly recommend that you upgrade to the 8.7.8 Server for 8.7.x Servers or the 8.8.6 Server for 8.8.x Servers as soon as possible. You may also upgrade to the latest 8.9.4 Server, if preferred.
