The VMware Carbon Black team is pleased to announce the general availability of the 8.7.6 Carbon Black App Control Windows Agent.

VMware encourages customers to always update to the latest versions of VMware software to benefit from security and stability improvements.

This maintenance release addresses an issue that can lead to rules being improperly enforced on Windows when the SHA256 macro is used. VMware Carbon Black recommends updating to this version of the Windows agent (or later) or if that is not possible, disabling rules that utilize the SHA256 macro. For more details, see the 8.7.6 Windows Agent Release Notes.
