The VMware Carbon Black team is pleased to announce the general availability of the 8.8.0 Carbon Black App Control Linux Agent.

VMware encourages customers to always update to the latest versions of VMware software to benefit from security and stability improvements.

The Carbon Black App Control v8.8.0 Linux Agent is a maintenance release.

New changes include:

  • Open Source Kernel module
  • Secure boost support
  • IPv6 support

You can access Carbon Black App Control software on the Downloads page of the Broadcom customer portal.

Once there, download the software you need. The SHA256 for 8.8.0.2472067 installer package is:

Important: There is a Linux SHA-2 Public Key for agents where the Carbon Black App Control server version is earlier than 8.9.2.
