When you first receive the onboarding email, you will be granted access via a temporary account to your VMware Cloud Organization.
As part of the process of customer onboarding, you will be required to configure SAML Identity Federation with Microsoft AD FS or AWS Directory Service, for permanent access to your VMware Cloud Organization. To do so, VMware will provide you with a WorkspaceOne / VIDM Tenant and admin credentials for the tenant.
Important: Until SAML Identity Federation is configured, you will be unable to add new users to your VMware Cloud Organization.
Please submit a ticket to the VMware Carbon Black Cloud on AWS GovCloud support team requesting WorkspaceOne / VIDM Tenant and Tenant Admin creation.
- Verify that an email account is provided to support so that an encrypted email can be sent.
- You will receive a communication with the details below, which you will use to configure your Identity provider.
- User name and initial password
- Tenant URL
- Please return to the steps in Configuring Identity Federation for VMware Carbon Black Cloud on AWS GovCloud (US) to finish the rest of your Identity federation setup.
