You must generate an OAuth App from the Carbon Black Cloud console. You use the OAuth App credentials to establish a connection between the Carbon Black Cloud console and the Carbon Black Cloud Workload Appliance deployed in the vCenter Server.

You can configure one appliance per vCenter Server. After you create custom access level for your appliance, you can configure multiple appliances for your organization. If you are configuring multiple appliances, generate a separate OAuth App for each appliance. You can generate only one OAuth App per appliance.

Procedure

  1. On the left navigation pane, go to Settings > Appliances.
  2. Click LINK APPLIANCE and populate the required fields.
    1. Enter a unique OAuth app name for your appliance. Optionally, supply a OAuth app description.
The appliance OAuth app name must be unique to your organization.
    2. Click Save.
The OAuth Client ID and OAuth client secret key are generated.
  3. Copy both keys and use them to establish connection between your appliance and the Carbon Black Cloud console.
