To assign Admin or Analyst roles to ServiceNow users, perform the following procedure.


  1. Log in to your ServiceNow instance.
  2. Go to Organization > Users and click the Users module.
  3. Click the name of the user to whom to assign roles.
  4. Scroll down to the Roles tab. Click Edit.
  5. Select the required role from the Collection and move it to the Roles list.
    • Assign x_vmw_cb_connector.admin to Administrators of the Carbon Black Cloud app. Users who have this role can configure the applications and do everything an analyst can.
    • Assign x_vmw_cb_connector.analyst1, x_vmw_cb_connector.analyst2, or x_vmw_cb_connector.analyst3 for other users of the Carbon Black Cloud app. Users who have these roles can create tickets and perform actions in the integration. They can view the configuration.
