Once you onboard your Google Cloud Platform (GCP) project (account) into the Carbon Black Cloud console you can view its details and perform actions on it in the Settings > Public Cloud Accounts page. To view details for the account, double-click its row.

You can use the search field to search for accounts and the filtering capabilities of the Carbon Black Cloud console to improve your visibility and use that result set as a jump-off point to further engage with the onboarded accounts. The following account Filter facets are available.

  • You can filter GCP accounts by their Status.
    • Active
    • In Progress
    • Error
  • You can filter GCP accounts based on their Carbon Black Cloud onboard Environment.
    • Development
    • Staging
    • Test
    • Production
  • To view only the Google Cloud accounts, you can filter them by using the GCP Provider facet.

You can further view details for a selected GCP account, by double-clicking its row or click the > icon. Use the down arrow and select between editing the account details and regions, enabling GCP services, or deleting the account. Changes apply immediately but the validation of account credentials can take some time.

Use the Regions pane to add more regions to the selected account. Here you can also synchronize or delete a region under the Action column.
  • When you synchronize a region, Carbon Black Cloud updates with the latest information on the GCP resources.
  • When you delete a region from the account, the Carbon Black Cloud removes all inventory related information for the GCP resources (workloads) within that region. GCP workloads without sensor are not present on the Not Enabled tab and workloads with installed sensors lack GCP metadata.

While in the list with the GCP accounts, you can select one or more accounts, and click Remove. When you delete an account, all regions associated with that account are deleted from the Carbon Black Cloud. Inventory and GCP metadata related information for the regions in this account are also deleted.

To export the GCP accounts and the data associated with them, click the Export button in the upper right section of the page. You can apply the search and filter capabilities, then export only the accounts and the associated details that you are interested in.

You can view all the activities associated with the GCP account onboarding, such as adding an account or bulk deletion of accounts. To view these activities, navigate to Settings > Audit Log. For more details, see Audit Logs.
