If you have Carbon Black EDR Unified View 6.1.3 or later currently installed, you can upgrade to a newer version without uninstalling the previous version.
If you are running Unified View 5.x, please note that direct upgrades from Unified View 5.x to Unified View 7.x are not supported. Customers on Unified View 5.x who want to upgrade to Unified View 7.x must first complete an intermediate upgrade to 6.x before upgrading to 7.x. To ensure that there is no data loss, we recommend that you remain on version 6.x for at least 30 days before proceeding with an upgrade to Unified View 7.x.
There is a known issue in Unified View 7.4.0 that prevents a successful upgrade from Unified View 6.x versions. Accordingly, do not attempt to upgrade from Unified View 6.x to 7.4.0. This issue was resolved in Unified View 7.4.1. See this Knowledge Base article for more information.
