Installing Carbon Black EDR on an Air-Gapped Server

This section describes how to install Carbon Black EDR on a server that does not have access to the CentOS/RedHat or Carbon Black Yum repositories.

Installing Carbon Black EDR using a Yum cache is very similar to a standard server installation. The only difference is that you instruct Yum to use the local cache for all operations.

Caution: The steps here are for a new installation only. If you already have the Carbon Black EDR server installed, do not perform these steps.

Using the new installation procedure on an existing server can result in loss of all data, including the configuration and event data collected from sensors.
