Perform the following steps before you migrate an RPM-based version of Carbon Black EDR to containerized Carbon Black EDR.

Prerequisites

Important: Before migrating to a containerized server installation, upgrade your RPM-based installation to the latest available version. Read Known Limitations.

Procedure

  1. Follow all the steps presented in Installation Prerequisites on all instances that you plan to migrate.
  2. Shut down the Carbon Black EDR enterprise services: for a standalone server, run service cb-enterprise stop. For a Carbon Black EDR cluster, run /usr/share/cb/cbcluster stop.
