Carbon Black App Control has also been known as the Bit9 Security platform and as CB Protection.
Carbon Black EDR provides powerful features for endpoint threat detection and response. Carbon Black App Control provides its own powerful features for endpoint threat protection.
You can take advantage of their complementary features by installing both the Carbon Black EDR sensor and the Carbon Black App Control agent on your endpoints, and adding Carbon Black EDR features inside Carbon Black App Control to improve your security posture.
In addition to integrating with each other, both Carbon Black EDR and Carbon Black App Control can take advantage of information from the Carbon Black Cloud, which provides reputation information, threat indicators, and attack classification intelligence.
