Carbon Black Hosted EDR customers who use default sensor-server certificates should not use the 7.4.0-win sensor.
Carbon Black EDR Windows Sensor 7.4.0 (7.4.0-win) was released to Carbon Black Hosted EDR customers on 21 February 2023.
We recently identified a change in 7.4.0-win that causes communication between the sensor and the Carbon Black Hosted EDR Server to fail for customers who are using default sensor-server certificates.
- This issue DOES NOT impact Carbon Black Hosted EDR customers who use custom sensor-server certificates.
- This issue DOES NOT impact on-prem Carbon Black EDR customers. On-prem Carbon Black EDR customers can use 7.4.0-win.
Carbon Black Hosted EDR customers who use default sensor-server certificates should not upgrade to 7.4.0-win.
Carbon Black Hosted EDR customers who use default sensor-server certificates and have already upgraded to 7.4.0-win should downgrade to 7.3.2-win.
