The VMware Carbon Black EDR team is pleased to announce the general availability of Carbon Black EDR Server 7.8.0 for on-prem and Hosted EDR customers. Hosted EDR customers were upgraded to Server 7.8.0 on Sunday, 16 July 2023 and Server 7.8.0 was released to on-prem Carbon Black EDR customers on Wednesday, 16 August 2023.
This is a Minor release that delivers:
- FIPS 140-2 support on RHEL 8 for on-prem customers
- Migration from legacy to system OpenSSL on EL 8 for on-prem customers
- Process Analysis Event Search
- YARA Manager for Analyst Users
