Apply a Cloudian Storage Policy

When using the Cloudian Platform, you can apply custom storage policies, created by your provider administrator.

Storage policies ensure that your data is protected and highly available. A default storage policy is applied to all tenants. Your provider administrator can create custom storage policies for tenants who use the Cloudian platform.

Prerequisites

Verify that your provider administrator has authorized you to apply a Cloudian storage policy.

Procedure

1. Log in to the VMware Cloud Director tenant portal.
2. From the More drop-down menu, select Object Storage.
3. Click Settings and then Storage Policy.
4. Click Change Policy.
5. Select a storage policy.

   Storage Policy Type	Description
   Region default storage policy	The storage policy, set for your region, by your cloud provider.
   Specific storage policy	A specific storage policy, from the list of available storage policies for your organization.

6. Click Save.
