Create a solution instance

You can create a data solution instance by using the basic settings, or you can do a custom deployment by using the YAML editor in the extended settings.

Procedure

1. Log in to VMware Cloud Director extension for Data Solutions from VMware Cloud Director.
2. Click Instances > New Instance.
3. Enter the necessary details.
   1. Enter the instance name.
   2. Select the solution, for which you want to create an instance.
   3. Select the Kubernetes cluster for this instance.
   4. Enter a default solution user name and password.
      Note: If you are deploying a VMware SQL with MySQL for Kubernetes instance, you must enter only a default password.
   5. Select a solution template for this instance.
4. To customize more details, for example, to configure the RabbitMQ Management Console, or to enable high availability for VMware SQL with Postgres for Kubernetes or VMware SQL with MySQL for Kubernetes, click Show Advanced Settings.
5. Click Create.
