When you contact technical support for an issue in VMware Cloud Director service, you can provide information that will help your support representative to assist you faster.
Procedure
- Log in to VMware Cloud Director service.
- Click Cloud Director Instances.
- In the card of the VMware Cloud Director instance for which you want to report a problem, click Details.
The
Summary panel for the
VMware Cloud Director instance opens.
- Click the Support panel.
- Copy the instance ID, the organization ID and the environment ID from the table.
All IDs are Uniform Resource Names (URNs).
- Copy the public IP addresses that the VMware Cloud Director instance uses to initiate connections.
- To generate a support bundle, click Generate Support Bundle and download the resulting
.tgz
file.
- Provide the support bundle file, as well as the instance, organization and environment IDs to your support representative.
