When you contact technical support for an issue in VMware Cloud Director service, you can provide information that will help your support representative to assist you faster.

Procedure

  1. Log in to VMware Cloud Director service.
  2. Click Cloud Director Instances.
  3. In the card of the VMware Cloud Director instance for which you want to report a problem, click Details.
    The Summary panel for the VMware Cloud Director instance opens.
  4. Click the Support panel.
  5. Copy the instance ID, the organization ID and the environment ID from the table.
    All IDs are Uniform Resource Names (URNs).
  6. Copy the public IP addresses that the VMware Cloud Director instance uses to initiate connections.
  7. To generate a support bundle, click Generate Support Bundle and download the resulting .tgz file.
  8. Provide the support bundle file, as well as the instance, organization and environment IDs to your support representative.
