How do I restart a VMware Cloud Director instance cell

You can use the VMware Cloud Director service UI to restart a VMware Cloud Director cell after updates.

If you neeed to restart a VMware Cloud Director instance cell, for example, because of a VMware Cloud Director database configuration change, you can use the VMware Cloud Director service UI.

Procedure

1. Log in to VMware Cloud Director service.
   • If you are an enterprise customer, log in at https://console.cloud.vmware.com.
   • If you are a CSP-SaaS partner, log in at https://navigator.vmware.com.
2. Click Cloud Director Instances.
3. In the card of the VMware Cloud Director instance that you want to restart, click Actions > Rollout Restart.

Results

The instance cell restarts and your updates are implemented.
