Activate or Deactivate a vCenter Instance in Your VMware Cloud Director

Before performing a maintenance or unregistering a vCenter instance, in VMware Cloud Director, you must deactivate the target vCenter instance.

To provide its resources to virtual data centers in VMware Cloud Director, you must activate the vCenter instance.

Procedure

1. From the primary left navigation panel, select Resources, and from the page top navigation bar, select Infrastructure Resources.
2. From the secondary left panel, select vCenter Server Instances.
3. Click the radio button next to the name of the target vCenter instance, and click Enable or Disable.
4. To confirm, click OK.
