When you configure a provider gateway firewall rule, you can verify that the firewall rule runs correctly or monitor if anyone is trying to breach the firewall by examining the firewall logs.
Prerequisites
- Verify with your service provider that they configured a log provider in VMware Cloud Director. If a log provider is not configured, the Logs tab is not visible.
- Configure Firewall Rules on a Provider Gateway in the VMware Cloud Director Tenant Portal
Procedure
- From the primary left navigation panel, select Networking and from the page top navigation bar, select Provider Gateways.
- Click the provider gateway.
- On the page-level left navigation, under Services, select Firewall.
- On the Firewall page, select the Logs tab.
- If you want to refresh the logs information, click Refresh.
