To generate a token for accessing a proxied SDDC component, you must activate this proxy. A proxy is activated for the current user session. If you deactivate a proxy or if the user session times out, the proxy is no longer active and the token stops to function.

Note: You might have limitations on the number of concurrent active proxies. For information, ask your system administrator.

Prerequisites

If you want to activate a proxy, verify that the system administrator enabled this proxy.

Procedure

  1. From the main menu (), select Datacenters.
  2. Activate a proxy.
    • To activate the default proxy, on the card of the target SDDC, click Activate default proxy.
    • To activate a non-default proxy, follow these steps:
      1. On the card of the target SDDC, click More, and click Manage proxies.
      2. Select the radio button next to the name of the target proxy, and click Activate.
  3. Deactivate a proxy.
    • To deactivate the default proxy, on the card of the target SDDC, click More, and click Deactivate default proxy.
    • To activate a non-default proxy:
      1. On the card of the target SDDC, click More, and click Manage Proxies.
      2. Select the radio button next to the name of the target proxy, and click De-activate.
