Delete a Datastore

When you no longer need a datastore, you can delete it.

Prerequisites

Before you delete a datastore, unmount it from any clusters that are using it. Once you delete a datastore, it is permanently gone.

Procedure

1. From the left navigation, select Datastores.
2. Select a datastore.
3. From the Actions menu, select Delete.
4. In the Delete datastore dialog box, confirm that you understand the consequences of deleting the datastore.
5. Type the phrase DELETE DATASTORE INCLUDING ALL VMS.
6. Click the Delete Datastore button.
