The VMware Cloud Foundation 22.214.171.124 patch release upgrades your existing deployment to ESXi 6.5U2 EP11.
This patch corrects an uninitiated stack memory usage vulnerability in the vmxnet3 virtual network adapter, which might allow a guest to execute code on the host. For more information, see VMware Security Advisory VMSA-2018-0027.
Installation and Upgrade Information

Cloud Foundation Upgrade Bundles
The Cloud Foundation 188.8.131.52 software BOM contains the VMware software components described in the table below. This upgrade and patch bundle is hosted on the VMware Depot site and available via the Lifecycle Management feature in SDDC Manager.

Preparing for Upgrade
Before upgrading, perform the following tasks:
- Download LCM upgrade bundles throught the SDDC Manager Dashboard or using the bundle transfer utility. See Patching and Upgrading Cloud Foundation in the VMware Cloud Foundation Operations and Administration Guide
- Before scheduling an upgrade, run the pre-upgrade-check utility with the following command from the SDDC Manager Dashboard.
Navigate to Inventory > Workload Domains > [Workload Domain Name] > Update/Patches tab to access the pre-upgrade check control.
