To use vVols storage in VMware Cloud Foundation, add a VASA provider .

Prerequisites

Before you add the VASA provider details in VMware Cloud Foundation, ensure that you have set up the VASA provider. For information about setting up a VASA provider, see Before You Enable vVols topic in vSphere Storage.

Procedure

  1. On the SDDC Manager Dashboard, click Administration > Storage Settings.
  2. Click Add VASA Provider.
  3. Enter a name for the VASA provider.
  4. Enter a URL for the VASA provider.
  5. Enter VASA provider user credentials.
    • VASA provider user name
    • VASA provider password
  6. Enter VASA provider storage container details.
    • Storage container name
    • Storage container type (FC, iSCSI, or NFS)
  7. Click Save.
    Note: You can add additional VASA user credentials and storage containers.
