Rotate an Account Password Using SDDC Manager for Identity and Access Management for VMware Cloud Foundation

To perform password rotation and automatically re-establish known integration points across the VMware Cloud Foundation instance, you use the SDDC Manager user interface.

Procedure

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2.1 or later

1. Log in to SDDC Manager at https://<sddc_manager_fqdn> with a user assigned the Admin role.
2. In the left pane, navigate to Security > Password management.
3. On the Password management page, filter the list to include the required users.
4. Select the check boxes for all required users whose password you want to rotate and click Rotate passwords.
5. In the Rotate passwords dialog box, click Rotate.

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2 or earlier

1. Log in to SDDC Manager at https://<sddc_manager_fqdn> with a user assigned the Admin role.

2. In the left pane, click Security > Password management.

3. On the Password management page, from the components list, select the component.

4. In the table, under Rotate password, select the check box for the accounts whose password you want to rotate.
5. Click Rotate password.
6. In the Rotate password dialog box, click Rotate.
