If logs are forwarded bidirectionally between two or more VMware Aria Operations for Logs instances, to prevent forwarding logs back to their originator and duplicating data, you configure forwarding filters.

Procedure

  1. Log in to VMware Aria Operations for Logs at https://<aria_operations_for_logs_fqdn> with a user assigned the Super admin role.
  2. In the left pane, click Log management.
  3. Click the Log forwarding tab.
  4. Next to the relevant log forwarding entry, click the Edit destination icon.
  5. On the Edit destination dialog box, click Add filter, configure the settings, and click Save.

  6. Repeat the procedure for each VMware Aria Operations for Logs instances.
