Validate that the VMware Aria Operations for Networks virtual machines are operational and their services are active.

Expected Outcome

All VMware Aria Operations for Networks components have an Active status and all service proxies are Running.

Procedure

  1. Log in to VMware Aria Operations for Networks platform node at https://<aria_operations_for_networks_platform_node_fqdn> with a user assigned the Administrator role.
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Settings > Infrastructure and support
  3. Click the Infrastructure and updates tab and verify that System health and System infrastructure are both listed as Good.
  4. Verify the services of the VMware Aria Operations for Networks platform nodes.
    1. Click the Nickname of the VMware Aria Operations for Networks platform node.

      The Platform VM page opens.

    2. In the Service availability section, verify that the Launcher, Rest API, Saas, FlinkContainer, Kafka, ElasticSearch, FoundationDB, HBase Master, and HBase RegionServer services' state is Green.
  5. Verify the the services of the VMware Aria Operations for Networks collector node.
    1. Click the Nickname of the VMware Aria Operations for Networks collector node.

      The Collector VM page opens.

    2. In the Service availability section, verify that the Collector, Flow processor and Nfcapd services' state is Green.

  1. Log in to VMware Aria Operations for Networks at https://<aria_operations_for_networks_fqdn> with a user assigned the Administrator role.
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Settings > Accounts and data sources.
  3. Click the Data sources tab, click the vertical ellipsis for the vCenter Server data source, and, from the drop-down menu, select Edit.
  4. Verify that the Configuration section shows Validated successfully.

  2. In the left pane, navigate to Settings > Accounts and data sources.
  3. Click the Data sources tab, click the vertical ellipsis for the NSX data source, and, from the drop-down menu, select Edit.
  4. Verify that the Configuration section shows Validated successfully.
