If your environment includes the Intelligent Operations Management for VMware Cloud Foundation validated solution, you can expand monitoring and alerting coverage of VMware Aria Operations to include the Intelligent Network Visibility for VMware Cloud Foundation validated solution.
Prerequisites
Verify that VMware Aria Operations is deployed and operational in a local environment in VMware Cloud Foundation mode using the corresponding VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle instance.

Configure a Ping Adapter for the Platform and Collector Nodes in VMware Aria Operations for Intelligent Network Visibility for VMware Cloud Foundation
To verify the availability of the VMware Aria Operations for Networks, configure the Ping adapter integration in VMware Aria Operations. The ping functionality is configured at the adapter instance for IP addresses, group of IP addresses, and FQDNs.
Procedure
- Log in to the VMware Aria Operations interface at https://<aria_operations_fqdn> with a user assigned the Administrator role.
- In the left pane, navigate to .
On the Accounts tab, click Add account.
On the Account types page, click the Ping card.
On the Add account - ping page, configure the settings according to your values in the VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook.
On the Add account - ping page, click Validate connection.
In the Info dialog box, click OK.
Click Add.
On the Accounts tab, expand the Ping account and verify that the collection status of the Ping adapter is OK.
Repeat for each VMware Aria Operations for Networks collector node in the VMware Cloud Foundation instance.
Integrate VMware Aria Operations for Networks with VMware Aria Operations for Intelligent Network Visibility for VMware Cloud Foundation
To view network alerts on an alerts dashboard and see specific network health VMware Aria Operations, configure the integration from VMware Aria Operations for Networks to VMware Aria Operations.
Configure the VMware Aria Operations for Networks Management Pack in VMware Aria Operations for Intelligent Network Visibility for VMware Cloud Foundation
To view network alerts on alerts dashboards, you install and activate a management pack for VMware Aria Operations for Networks in VMware Aria Operations.

To manage access for the integration between VMware Aria Operations for Networks and VMware Aria Operations, you create a cloud account in VMware Aria Operations.
Procedure
- Log in to the VMware Aria Operations interface at https://<aria_operations_fqdn> with a user assigned the Administrator role.
- In the left pane, navigate to .
- Click the Accounts tab and click Add.
- On the Account types page, click the VMware Aria Operations for Networks card.
On the Add account page, in the Cloud account information section, configure the settings according to your values in the VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook.
- In the Connection information section, next to Credential, click the Add new icon.
In the Manage credential dialog box, configure the settings according to your values in the VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook, and click OK
- In the Connection information section, click Validate connection.
- In the Review and accept certificate dialog box, verify the certificate information, and click Accept.
- In the Info dialog box, click OK.
- On the Integrations page, verify that the collection status of the VMware Aria Operations for Networks adapter is OK.
