To gather data from your SDDC, you add the management and VI workload domain vCenter Server instances as data sources in VMware Aria Operations for Networks.

Procedure

  1. Log in to VMware Aria Operations for Networks at https://<aria_operations_for_networks_platform_node_fqdn> as admin@local
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Settings > Accounts and data sources.
  3. On the Data sources page, click Add source > Single source.
  4. In the Data source type section, expand VMware managers and select the VMware vCenter card.
  5. In the Configuration section, from the Collector VM drop-down menu, select the VMware Aria Operations for Networks collector node, configure the remaining settings according to the values in your VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook, and click Validate.
  6. In the Additional information section, select the Enable NetFlow (IPFIX) on this vCenter check box.
  7. In the Confirm action dialog box, click Enable.
  8. In the VDS section, select the management vSphere distributed switch.
  9. In the Nickname text box, enter a name for the vCenter Server and click Submit.
  10. In the Data source added successfully dialog box, click OK.
  11. Repeat for each VI workload domain vCenter Server in the VMware Cloud Foundation instance.
