Configure the Logging Service in VMware Aria Operations for Networks for Intelligent Network Visibility for VMware Cloud Foundation

You configure and initiate log collection in VMware Aria Operations for Networks to send logs to VMware Aria Operations for Logs.

Procedure

1. Log in to VMware Aria Operations for Networks at https://<aria_operations_for_networks_fqdn> with a user assigned the Administrator role.
2. In the left pane, navigate to Settings > Logs.
3. On the Logs page, click the Syslog configuration tab.
4. On the Syslog configuration page, click Add server.
5. On the Add syslog server page, configure the setting according to your VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook, and click Submit.
6. To start sending log data to VMware Aria Operations for Logs, on the Syslog configuration page, turn on Enable syslog.
7. On the Syslog configuration page, in the Source - server mapping section, click the edit icon for All platforms source.
8. On the Edit mapping page, from the drop-down menu, select the VMware Aria Operations for Logs server, and click Submit.
9. Repeat this procedure for each source listed on the System configuration page.
