Verify that VMware Aria Operations is collecting data metrics through the configured adapter instances.

Validate that the VMware Aria Operations adapters are configured correctly and the status of data collection is OK for the following SDDC components.

  • VMware Cloud Foundation
    • vCenter Server
    • vSAN
    • NSX
  • Workspace ONE Access
  • Ping Adapters

Validate that the corresponding service accounts have correct privileges and the VMware Aria Operations dashboards are populated.

Expected Outcome

  • The VMware Cloud Foundation cloud account has a status of OK .

    • The vCenter Server adapter has a status of OK .

    • The vSAN adapter has a status of OK .

    • The NSX adapter has a status of OK .

  • The Workspace ONE Access adapter has a status of OK .

  • The Ping adapter has a status of OK .

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VMware Aria Operations interface at https://<aria_operations_fqdn> with a user assigned the Administrator role.
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Administration > Integration.
  3. In the Accounts tab, expand the VMware Cloud Foundation cloud account section.
  4. Verify that the Status is OK for all workload domain.
  5. Repeat this procedure to verify the collection satus of the remaining VMware Aria Operations adapters.
