Verify the Authentication in VMware Aria Operations by Using an Active Directory User Account for Intelligent Operations Management for VMware Cloud Foundation

Verify that you can authenticate to VMware Aria Operations with a user account that is a member of an Active Directory security group entitled to the Administrator role in VMware Aria Operations.

Validate that the clustered Workspace ONE Access can authenticate the user for VMware Aria Operations through Active Directory.

You can successfully authenticate and log in to the VMware Aria Operations by using a user account from an Active Directory group with access to perform tasks according to the expected permission.

Procedure

1. In a Web browser, navigate to the VMware Aria Operations interface at https://<aria_operations_fqdn>.
2. On the VMware Aria Operations login page, from the drop-down menu, select vIDMAuthSource and click Redirect.
3. On the Workspace ONE login page, configure the domain and enter the name and the password of an Active Directory user account assigned the Administrator role.
4. Browse the VMware Aria Operations user interface and verify that you can access the services that are entitled to this service role.
