With SDDC Manager, you can perform password remediation for the VMware Aria Automation account. Password remediation is the process of updating the SDDC Manager inventory with an updated password for a specific account and then, automatically, rotating it.

Password remediation is typically used after expiration of a password and is required for re-establishing connectivity from the SDDC Manager.

Procedure

  1. Log in to SDDC Manager at https://<sddc_manager_fqdn> with a user assigned the Admin role.
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Security > Password management.
  3. On the Password management page, filter the list to include all VMware Aria Automation accounts.
  4. In the table, click the vertical ellipses for the account whose password you want to remediate, and select Remediate password.
