To ensure that VMware Aria Automation views metrics from VMware Aria Operations, import the service account for communication from VMware Aria Automation to VMware Aria Operations and assign the necessary permissions in VMware Aria Operations.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VMware Aria Operations interface at https://<aria_operations_fqdn> with a user assigned the Administrator role.
  2. In the left pane, click Administration.
  3. Click Access control.

  4. On the User accounts tab, click the horizontal ellipsis and select Import from source.

  5. Assign the custom role to the service account.

    1. On the Import users page, configure the settings according to the values in your VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook, click Next and click Finish.

    2. On the User accounts page, select the service account and, from the vertical ellipsis drop-down menu, select Edit.

    3. In Assign roles and scope section, configure the following settings and click Save.
