To use name translation and resolution from each region, you reconfigure the DNS server and domain search parameter for all three clustered Workspace ONE Access nodes. To persist the change after a reboot, you apply the change when the virtual machine is in a powered off state, using OVF properties.

Procedure

  1. Power down the clustered Workspace ONE Access virtual machines by using VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.

    1. Log in to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle at https://<aria_suite_lifecycle_fqdn> as vcfadmin@local.
    2. On the My services page, click Lifecycle operations.

    3. In the navigation pane, click Environments.

    4. On the Environments page, in the globalenvironment card, click View Details.

    5. On the VMware Identity Manager tab, click the horizontal ellipsis and select Power off.

    6. In the Power OFF VMware Identity Manager dialog box, click Submit.

    7. Monitor the request until all stages become Successful.

  2. Log in to the management domain vCenter Server at https://<protected_vcenter_server_fqdn>/ui in the protected VMware Cloud Foundation instance as [email protected].
  3. In the VMs and templates inventory, navigate to the clustered Workspace ONE Access virtual machine folder.

  4. Select the first virtual machine of the clustered Workspace ONE Access.

  5. Click the Configure tab.

  6. In the left pane, navigate to Settings > vApp options.

  7. Configure the OVF properties for the virtual machine according to your VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook.

    1. In the Properties section, select vami.DNS.IdentityManager, and click Set Value.

    2. In the Set value dialog box, enter the DNS servers property value and click OK.

    3. In the Properties section, select vami.searchpath.IdentityManager, and click Set Value.

    4. In the Set value dialog box, enter the search domains property value and click OK.

  8. Perform this procedure on the remaining clustered Workspace ONE Access virtual machines to set the OVF property.

  9. Power on the clustered Workspace ONE Access instance.

    1. Log in to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle at https://<aria_suite_lifecycle_fqdn> as vcfadmin@local.
    2. On the My services page, click Lifecycle operations.

    3. In the left navigation pane, click Environments.

    4. On the Environments page, in the globalenvironment card, click View details.

    5. On the VMware Identity Manager tab, click the horizontal ellipsis and select Power on.

    6. In the Power on VMware Identity Manager dialog box, click Submit.

    7. Monitor the request in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle until it is successful.
