To support dynamic routing in the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance, before you initiate a disaster recovery from the protected VMware Cloud Foundation instance, configure the NSX Tier-1 gateway to set the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance as primary. This configuration ensures that the management components of the SDDC continue to communicate using optimal routes in a fault-tolerant network.
- Log in to NSX Global Manager for the management domain in the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance at https://<active_nsx_gm_fqdn>/login.jsp?local=true as admin.
- On the main navigation bar, click Networking.

In the left navigation pane, click Tier-1 gateways.

Click the vertical ellipsis for the cross-instance Tier-1 gateway to which the protected components are connected and select Edit.

In the Locations panel, configure the settings.
