You create virtual machine folders in the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance for VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, VMware Aria Automation, the VMware Aria Operations analytics cluster, and the clustered Workspace ONE Access. You use these virtual machine folders to configure folder mappings in Site Recovery Manager to facilitate the planned migration or recovery of the management components.

You create virtual machine folders in the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance for the following SDDC management components:

  • VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle

  • VMware Aria Automation

  • VMware Aria Operations Analytics Cluster

  • Clustered Workspace ONE Access

Procedure

  1. Log in to the management domain vCenter Server at https://<recovery_vcenter_server_fqdn>/ui in the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance as [email protected].
  2. In the VMs and templates inventory, navigate to the default management data center, right-click the data center, and select New folder > New VM and template folder.

  3. In the New folder dialog box, enter the folder name according to your VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook, and click OK.

  4. Repeat this step to create the remaining virtual machine folders.
