Reconfigure the VMware Aria Operations for Logs adapter to integrate VMware Aria Operations with the VMware Aria Operations for Logs cluster in the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance.

If your environment is running VMware Aria Operations for Logs, after a disaster recovery failover event the VMware Aria Operations for Logs cluster in the protected VMware Cloud Foundation instance is no longer accessible.

VMware Aria Operations only supports a single VMware Aria Operations for Logs adapter and so you must reconfigure the existing adapter with the FQDN of the VMware Aria Operations for Logs cluster in the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VMware Aria Operations interface at https://<aria_operations_fqdn> with a user assigned the Administrator role.
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Data sources > Integrations.
  3. Click the Accounts tab and expand the VMware Aria Operations for Logs adapter.

  4. Click the vertical ellipsis next to the VMware Aria Operations for Logs instance, and select Edit.

  5. In the Connect information panel, modify the settings for the connection to VMware Aria Operations for Logs.

    Enter the FQDN for the VMware Aria Operations for Logs cluster in the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance.

    Collector / Group

    Select the local-instance collector group from the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance.

  6. To verify that VMware Aria Operations can connect to VMware Aria Operations for Logs, click Validate connection and, in the Info dialog box, click OK.

  7. Click Save.

Results

The VMware Aria Operations for Logs adapter is available on the Integrations page of the VMware Aria Operations user interface. The Status of the adapter is OK.
