You can view and download the billing period usage of services on managed service provider (MSP) contracts in your provider organization and all customer organizations managed by you.

The start of your monthly billing period is defined by your anniversary billing date (ABD) - the date on which you created your first subscription and provisioned your first SDDC. Your ABD is also the date on which your monthly billing orders (MBOs) spool in VMware Cloud Provider Commerce Portal.

Customer organizations also have an ABD, set on the date on which you provision a service for them. If you haven't deployed a service to a customer organization, its ABD is not set in VMware Cloud Provider Commerce Portal. Instead, the first day of the calendar month is considered as the ABD until you deploy a service to the organization and the ABD is set.
Note: If the ABD of you organization is not set yet, the current calendar month is considered as your billing period until your ABD is set. For example, if you are viewing the billing period usage on the 10th of April and your ABD is not set, the table displays the billing usage from the 1st until the 9th of April.
Note: There might be a discrepancy in the month in which certain usage is displayed in VMware Cloud Partner Navigator and the month in which the same usage is charged in a monthly billing order (MBO) in VMware Cloud Provider Commerce Portal. The reason is that MBOs in VMware Cloud Provider Commerce Portal might include usage in arrears and non-host usage of the previous 90 days which reached the billing system with a delay. While VMware Cloud Partner Navigator populates missing usage of the past 90 days on the month it actually occurred, VMware Cloud Provider Commerce Portal charges the same usage on the next possible MBO. For all billing purposes, refer to the data in VMware Cloud Provider Commerce Portal.

Prerequisites

You have the required permissions for viewing the usage of your provider or customer organizations. See Roles and permissions.

Procedure

  1. On the VMware Cloud Partner Navigator toolbar, click Usage & Commerce > MSP > Usage.
  2. (Optional) If you are currently viewing the calendar period usage in the Usage tab, click Switch to Billing Period.

The table displays the aggregated usage of services in your provider organization for the current month's billing period. If your ABD in the current calendar month is not reached, the table is empty because your billing period in that month has not started yet.

Note: If your ABD falls on a day which is not present in a given month, (for example, the 31st of April) the first day of the next month will be considered as your billing period start date.
  3. From the drop-down menus, select an organization, specify a billing period, and click View.
