You can check if your vCloud Usage Meter instances are uploading consumption data to VMware.

If you are checking the status of a newly registered vCloud Usage Meter instance, you must wait for up to 30 minutes before its status is updated in VMware Cloud Partner Navigator.

Prerequisites

  • You have the required permissions for viewing usage in your provider organization.
  • You have at least one vCloud Usage Meter instance registered with a rental contract in VMware Cloud Provider Commerce Portal.

Procedure

  1. On the VMware Cloud Partner Navigator toolbar, click Usage & Commerce > Usage Meter Operations.
    You see a table with all registered vCloud Usage Meter instances.
  2. Point to the status icon of an instance in the Status column of the table.

Results

You check the reporting status of a vCloud Usage Meter instance.

Status Description
Green Your vCloud Usage Meter instance is uploading usage data to VMware. The tooltip displays:
Usage Meter is uploading data to VMware. Last upload received on date_of_last_report
Red Your vCloud Usage Meter instance is not uploading usage data to VMware. The tooltip displays one of the following messages:
  • Usage Meter has never uploaded data to VMware.
  • Usage Meter has not uploaded recent data to VMware. Last upload received on 
    date_of_last_report.

If the status of your vCloud Usage Meter instance is red, verify that the vCloud Usage Meter instance is configured correctly. For more information, see Configuring vCloud Usage Meter.
