You can request the renewal of Velo customer orders which expire in the next 120 days or ones which have expired in the last 180 days. Upon renewal, you can choose to select a different subscription length or payment term for the renewed customer order.

Prerequisites

  • You must have an active Velo commit contract with a customer order which has 120 days until expiration or has expired in the last 180 days.

  • Verify that you are logged in with an account that has the Operations role assigned.

Procedure

  1. In the Contracts menu, click the contract number of a Velo contract.
  2. Select the Customer Orders tab.
  3. Next to the customer order you want to renew, click the vertical-ellipsis icon (vertical-ellipsis icon) and click Renew Order.
  4. (Optional) In the Basic Info page of the wizard, modify the SPF discount percentage and enter your pre-approved SPF number.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Hardware page of the wizard, select which hardware items to renew.
    1. (Optional) If you want to change the hardware items' subscribtion length or payment term, select the check box.
    2. To select a different subscribtion length or term, enter the SKU of the desired hardware option under Renewal SKU.
    3. (Optional) To renew fewer Opex hardware items, click the angle icons (Expands the serial keys of an item.) of the hardware SKUs you want to renew and select which serial numbers to renew.
    4. (Optional) To add or modify hardware warranty items, click Renew Warranty.
    5. For each existing Capex warranty you want to renew, click ADD SKU, enter the Capex hardware SKU and the warranty SKU, then click the angle icons (Expands the serial keys of an item.) and select which serial numbers to renew.
    6. (Optional) To add new hardware items, click Add New Hardware.
    7. For each new hardware item you want to add, click ADD SKU, enter a hardware SKU and quantity, optionally a warranty SKU, select the shipping details, and enter the deploy window.
    8. Click Next.
  7. In the Software & Services page of the wizard, select which software items to renew.
    1. (Optional) If you want to change the software items' subscribtion length or payment term, select the check box.
    2. To select a different subscribtion length or term, enter the SKU of the desired software option under Renewal SKU.
    3. (Optional) To renew fewer software items, enter a lower quantity.
    4. (Optional) To add software items, click Add New Software & Services.
    5. For each new software item you want to add, click ADD SKU, enter a software SKU and quantity.
    6. Click Next.
  8. (Optional) In the Miscellaneous page of the wizard, enter a comment.
  9. Click Next.
  10. In the Summary page of the wizard, review the details of the renewal and click SUBMIT.

Results

The customer order is renewed.

You can view the status of your customer orders in the Customer Orders tab of that Velo contract's details page.
