Create a Role in Your VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager

You can create a role in your VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager.

After the initial VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager installation and setup, the system contains predefined roles. For information about the predefined roles, see Rights in Predefined Global VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager Roles.

You can add custom roles to your VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager.

Prerequisites

If you log in as an imported user, verify that you have the USERS_MANAGEMENT permission.

Procedure

1. In the top navigation bar, click Administration.
2. Click the User Management tab.
3. In the left panel, select Roles.
4. Click Add New Role.
5. Enter a name for the custom role.
6. Select the rights that you want to associate with the role.
7. Click Add Role.

Results

The newly created role is available for assigning to users.
