Manage System Notifications in VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager

VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager provides built-in system notifications about activity related to VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager health and activities, such as when a task is completed, or when a password and a certificate expire.

System notifications inform you of critical issues that require immediate attention, provide you with warnings that might require a response, and inform you of normal system activity.

Prerequisites

• If you log in as an imported user, verify that you have the READ_NOTIFICATIONS permission.
• To archive a notification, verify that you have the READ_WRITE_NOTIFICATIONS permission.

Procedure

1. In the top right navigation bar, click the bell icon and display the full list of notifications by clicking Show all notifications.
   A drop-down menu with all notifications opens.
2. To review a notification, from the notifications drop-down menu, click the item.
   A dialog box with additional information opens.
3. (Optional) If you want to archive the notification, click Archive.
   Note: After archiving a notification for a specific event, such as for an expired password, the system no longer sends notifications for this same event.
