Verify Authentication Methods

Verify that the authentication methods are configured correctly. VMware will register your identity provider (IdP) with the VMC on GovCloud console.

Procedure

1. Log in to tenant URL provided in the encrypted email with the credentials in a separate browser.
2. In your web browser, open a new incognito or private browsing window and go to the tenant URL.
3. In the Select your domain drop-down menu, select your Active Directory domain and click Next.
   The browser is redirected to an AD FS authentication page.
4. Enter a valid Active Directory user name and password and click Sign in.
   If authentication is successful, you are redirected back to Workspace ONE Access and see a message indicating successful authentication.
5. In your original Workspace ONE Access where you were logged in as the tenant admin, click the Users & Groups tab.
   The user you logged in as appears in the Users table.

Results

After you have verified that authentication methods are configured correctly, VMware registers your identity provider with the VMC GovCloud Console. When this is completed, you can invite users to your VMware Cloud on AWS GovCloud organization, and they will be able to user their Active Directory usernames and passwords to log in to VMware Cloud on AWS GovCloud.
