Operating relative humidity 10–80 percent (non-condensing)
Operating altitude with no deratings 3048m (approximately 10,000 feet)

Networking Requirements

Ports The following ports are open for connecting your SDDC to VMware Cloud:
  • TCP: 443
  • UDP: 2426
Data ToRs
  • IP addresses are required to configure a point-to-point direct static route between the ToRs and your network.
  • IP addresses can be either four or eight based on whether you require one or two uplinks to be connected from each ToR to the router.
  • VMware provides both SFP+ (10 GbE) and SFP (1 GbE) modules with the ToR switches. However, you must provide fiber transceivers for your port switches.

If you want to use copper, you must provide transceivers for both ToR and upstream switches.

SD-WAN devices by VeloCloud
  • Two SD-WAN devices of the same model are available in the Rack. Ensure that you have an Internet connectivity to both these devices on the TCP: 443 and UDP: 2426 ports.
  • VMware provides copper or fiber SFP (1 GB) modules along with the VeloCloud devices. However, you must provide the SFP modules for your router.
Note: VMware Cloud on Dell EMC requires a multi-mode fiber.
Subnets
VMware Cloud on Dell EMC requires three subnets for management.
  • Cloud operations subnet: /24 non-routable CIDR block
  • Out-of-band management subnet: /24 non-routable CIDR block
  • SDDC management subnet: /23 or /24 routable CIDR block

The networks you specify are private and should not conflict with your other networks.

You cannot choose the following CIDR blocks as they are used for internal purposes.
