Citrix Director is a web-based tool that allows IT support and Help Desk teams to monitor the environment, troubleshoot issues, and perform support tasks for the end users. You can use a single Citrix Director deployment to connect and monitor multiple Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops sites.

Citrix Director displays:
  • Real-time session data from the broker service in the Citrix Delivery Controller, which includes data that the broker service receives from the broker agent in the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
  • Historical site data from the Monitor Service in the Citrix Delivery Controller.

The Citrix Director uses the ICA performance and the heuristic data captured by the Citrix Gateway device to build analytics from the data and present it to the administrators.
